BinDB Sort Codes Database
BinDB offers the most complete and comprehensive SORT Codes database. BICS are allocated for international payment services over the SWIFT network. It identifies both the bank, and the branch where the account is held. The first one or two digits identify the bank with the rest of the sortode identifying the branch an ccount is held.
The British and Irish sort codes are only used for domestic money transfers. Cheque and Credit Clearing Company is the appointed clearance organisations in the UK.
